Let me tell you about Goose Pimple Junction, Two songwriters got together back in 1986, deep in the heart of the appalachian mountains. Both of whom were born and raised in this small town of southwest Virginia. Having grown up in the middle of bluegrass territory, their country music influences were inevitable. They also worked for several years with different bands and club acts up and down the eastern coastline. After moving to Nashville Tennessee in 1992, they decided to broaden their horizons and begin writing and recording original tunes. After five years in "Music City", they decided to combine the music and versatility, thus Goose Pimple Junction was born. From the first time Charley Powers and Chuck Adkins sat down together with two acoustic guitars and struck a chord or two, a certain magic began to resonate. Their sound is as down home as biscuits and gravy and pork chops. They are original as the land that made them. The songs of Goose Pimple Junction are all written about real life and actual situations that have happened in their lives.
